The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake County, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles. The Archdiocese, pastored by Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, has more than 13,000 employees in its systems and ministries, including Catholic Charities, the region's largest nonprofit social service agency.
Under the direction of the Pastor, develops and implements a strategic communication and marketing plan to support the St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Community. Manages and grows parish communications and marketing through print and digital media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and implement a cohesive vision and branding of our parish
  • Manage and produce our parish weekly:
  • Bulletin
  • eNewsletter
  • Website announcements
  • Social media posts (IG, FB, LI)
  • Act as the parish:
  • Webmaster with the goal of developing a new website
  • Social Media coordinator
  • Email Marketing specialist
  • Upon requests, help develop flyers, social media content and other media for staff/ministries.
  • Assist in visioning, branding, and implementing campaigns
  • Support the Pastoral Team with graphic design (prayer cards, flyers, annual report, postcards, posters, letterheads)
  • Assist and help with Parish events in the capacity of taking photos or video
  • Additional duties, as needed

SKILLS
  • Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for the Catholic Church & St. Thomas of Villanova's mission and values.
  • Strategic thinker; creative and forward thinker, excellent writing, editing, design ability; Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines and possess strong computer skills.
  • Wide range of computer platform experience:
