Hornby Glen Golf Club is seeking a positive minded individual to be part of our dynamic hospitality team. The individual must be energetic, well organized and possess strong communication skills. The environment will be fun and fast paced with emphasis on customer experience and satisfaction.

Summary:
A server is an integral part of a dynamic hospitality team. Our customer's first and last impression of the facility will depend on how they are treated by our staff. We strive to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction while maintaining a fun environment. You will create an atmosphere that ensures the highest level of service and product standards are exceeding our guest's expectations, time after time.
Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure guest satisfaction by following Standard Operating Procedures with a friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and managers to support smooth daily clubhouse operations
  • Promote the golf course brand, image, and current promotions to all guests
  • Serve food and beverages throughout the golf course and clubhouse, including on-course service and banquet events such as weddings, corporate functions, and tournaments
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, process payments, and assist with minor food preparation
  • Support daily opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking duties as assigned
  • Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and GolfNorth Health & Safety Program

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, positive, and well-organized individual with strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Available to work flexible shifts
  • Minimum 6 months of restaurant or serving experience (preferred but not required)
  • Smart Serve Certification or willingness to obtain; must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario
  • Able to communicate and work effectively with team members
  • Reliable transportation required

Working Conditions:

  • Bending, balance, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), extended periods of standing
  • Working weekends and holidays will be required
