THE BIG PICTURE
First Christian Church is seeking a full-time Pastor.
Requirements
The Church
The First Christian Church of Syracuse, Kansas, celebrated 100 years of service to our Lord and community last year. We are a small church desiring to reach a younger demographic, desiring a young family to reach into the school and community. Because of the agriculture base of employment in our area, the school system is made up of 60% Hispanic. We see a real need to connect with the changing populace for our Lord. Bilingual ability or a desire to learn Spanish would be helpful.
We are a very loyal and supportive church family ready and waiting to encourage, love and support you and your family. Our community is full of wonderful, conservative thinking people, and a great place to raise children.
The Candidate
Evangelizing and community outreach, provide spiritual guidance, delivering weekly sermon, overseeing church programing, leading worship services, and officiating religious ceremonies-weddings, funerals. We prefer applicants who adhere to the Restoration Movement belief and principles.
Benefits
The Compensation
$34,000 year plus nice 3-bedroom parsonage with full basement and utilities valued at $18,000. 2 weeks paid vacation and 5th Sundays in month off.
