Position Overview

As a Banquet Bartender, you will provide efficient, professional beverage service at weddings, corporate events, and formal functions. You will be responsible for executing bar service smoothly while maintaining high service standards and compliance with responsible liquor service regulations.

Unlike traditional bar settings, our events require:

  • Strong teamwork

  • Professional presentation

  • Speed and efficiency during peak service

  • Flexibility to assist with floor service when required

Positions Available:

  • Casual / Event-Based

Location: Various event venues across Calgary

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down banquet bar stations according to event specifications

  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, and classic cocktails efficiently

  • Provide professional and polished guest interaction

  • Manage high-volume service during cocktail hours and receptions

  • Maintain compliance with ProServe and responsible alcohol service standards

  • Accurately handle cash and POS transactions (where applicable)

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas

  • Assist with serving duties when required (wine service, clearing, floor support)

  • Work closely with Event Supervisors and service team to ensure seamless execution

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid ProServe Certification (required)

  • Previous bartending experience in banquets, catering, weddings, or corporate events preferred

  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine service, and draft beer

  • Comfortable working large events (100500+ guests)

  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure

  • Flexible availability including evenings and weekends

  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
