Job description

The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team!

The Wood team believes that its people are its greatest asset. We provide our employees with competitive salaries and careers that grow with them. As a group with 8 dealerships, a collision repair centre and an online pre-owned sales lot, we believe our success and growth is built on the drive and dedication of our people. If you’ve got what it takes to be a natural leader, trainer and coach with a proven track record in the automotive industry than this is your opportunity to join us.

About the role:

We’re looking for a motivated Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team! You’ll work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, gaining hands-on experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns across various platforms such as social media, email, and PPC. Your creativity and attention to detail will help create engaging content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also have the opportunity to analyze campaign metrics and provide valuable insights to improve our strategies. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be organized, proactive, and familiar with digital marketing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, WordPress, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager and assist in day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Specialists in their various campaigns and initiatives and provide vacation coverage.
  • Help manage the All Makes Collision Centre and Cavalcade Auto websites and social media accounts. This includes creating and scheduling social media content, monitoring engagement, website maintenance and analyzing metrics to measure success.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, including tracking KPIs such as website traffic, Google ad clicks, conversion rates etc.
  • Conduct keyword research through Google and SEMRush to optimize website content for search engines including writing weekly blog posts.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing events and promotions.
  • Participating in regular weekly, or as required, conference calls with the Digital Marketing department.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferable in the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, email marketing, website maintenance (preferably with WordPress), and PPC advertising.
  • Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Digital video and editing skills would be considered an asset.

Requirements:

  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Valid AB class 5 driver's license
