Job Description

At Appcast, we help employers improve how they attract and hire talent through data-driven recruitment advertising solutions. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) drives early-stage pipeline growth by engaging prospects in consultative conversations, identifying hiring needs, and generating qualified opportunities through strategic outreach. Working closely with Account Executives, the SDR builds a strong pipeline and ensures smooth handoff for successful sales outcomes. 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Engage and qualify prospective customers through strategic outbound prospecting (calls, email, social), building trust and delivering value-based conversations. 
  • Conduct discovery to understand customer needs, challenges, and goals, and position Appcast’s solutions effectively. 
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring accurate tracking and strong alignment with ideal customer profiles. 
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Marketing to drive effective outreach, ensure high-quality meetings, and support smooth opportunity handoff. 
  • Meet or exceed prospecting and pipeline development targets through consistent, high-quality outreach 
  • Embrace and effectively utilize emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to enhance prospecting, research, outreach, and operational efficiency

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent practical experience  
  • 1+ years of experience in a sales development, business development, customer-facing, or consultative role is preferred  
  • Experience conducting discovery, needs assessment, or problem-solving conversations 
  • Proven track record of high achievement in sales development preferred 

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

The base salary range for this role is $45,000 - $65,000 per year. This position is also eligible for commission under Appcast's sales incentive plan. The expected total target compensation (base salary plus target commission earnings) ranges from $69,600 - $104,000 CAD annually. Individual earnings may vary based on performance and attainment of sales objectives
