Job description

Ecolab is seeking Procurement Interns to join our summer 2027 procurement internship program. As a Procurement Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, partnering with vendors, and helping drive projects from analysis through implementation. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges, improve operational efficiency, and see firsthand how procurement creates value across our global organization. Through this experience, we'll help you build strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills that will prepare you for a successful career in supply chain and procurement.

What You Will Do:  

  • Lead sourcing and procurement projects from planning through implementation, delivering measurable business results. 

  • Analyze spend, supplier, and market data to identify cost savings opportunities and support strategic decision-making. 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, align priorities, and drive successful project outcomes. 

  • Manage supplier interactions, including requesting quotes, evaluating pricing, and supporting negotiation activities. 

  • Compare current and proposed supplier pricing to identify value and optimize sourcing decisions. 

  • Build expertise within assigned categories and portfolios to support increasingly strategic procurement initiatives. 

  • Strengthen communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills while collaborating across teams and suppliers. 

Position Details: 

  • 11-week paid internship program, starting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027 

  • Positions are located in St. Paul, Minnesota or Naperville, Illinois 

  • Relocation assistance may be available 

  • Opportunity for a hybrid work environment, balancing office days with working remotely  

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028 

  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role 

  • 11-week internship program, starting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2027 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Comfortable working with data and skilled in Excel. 

  • Curious, agile, and willing to learn different systems and tools. 

  • A strong communicator with collaborative energy. 

  • Open-minded and not easily overwhelmed by multiple tasks or tools. 

  • Keen to develop stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $65,800.00 - $98,700.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
