Job Title: Technology Architect – webMethods

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technology Architect with deep expertise in Software AG webMethods to lead the architecture, governance, security, and strategic roadmap of enterprise integration platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing highly available, secure, and scalable integration solutions while providing technical leadership across enterprise-wide integration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall architecture for enterprise integration solutions using the webMethods platform.
  • Design and implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and fault-tolerant architectures for mission-critical integration environments.
  • Ensure alignment of integration solutions with modern architectural principles including SOA, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architectures.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for API Management, Security, and Integration Development.
  • Lead the architecture and design of complex SAP integration solutions and define effective monitoring and operational strategies.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and document integration protocols and communication standards including:
    • SFTP
    • AS2
    • JMS
    • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Define and implement security controls and encryption standards including:
    • PGP/GPG
    • HMAC
    • X.509 Certificates
    • Enterprise Cryptography Standards
  • Provide expert guidance on capacity planning, scalability, performance tuning, and platform optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor development and support teams on architecture standards, integration best practices, and technical governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of IT experience with significant experience in enterprise integration architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Software AG webMethods Suite, including:
    • Integration Server
    • Trading Networks
    • Universal Messaging
    • API Gateway/API Management
    • My webMethods Server (MWS)
  • Proven experience designing HA/DR and fault-tolerant integration platforms.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Integration using webMethods.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • SOA
    • Microservices Architecture
    • Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
  • Experience with integration protocols such as SFTP, AS2, JMS, REST, and SOAP.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, encryption technologies, certificate management, and enterprise authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with platform monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise integration environments.
  • Exposure to cloud and hybrid integration architectures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise governance and compliance frameworks.
