Job Summary
The Project Controls Analyst will support the Mining division by ensuring the development and maintenance of data systems to track costs, schedules, and key performance indicators. This role requires a mix of technical skills in programming, data visualization with general construction project controls knowledge to contribute to the overall success of projects across all regions.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Verification: Collaborate with project teams to verify the accuracy and completeness of
construction quantities and project costs.
2. Data Management: Develop and maintain databases for tracking ongoing construction projects and
interface within data sources for data entry purposes.
3. Financial Transactions Review: Review monthly billing and payments data to ensure accuracy and
consistency across all reports.
4. Reporting: Create reports on Estimate at Completion (EAC) and other Key Performance Indicators
(KPI's) using data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
5. Assists with the initial setup of project data, including project tracking components, work
packages, budgets, and document templates across enterprise systems.
6. Participates in periodic data reviews to ensure data systems and reporting visuals are aligned.
7. Supports project teams with data needed for budgeting, forecasting, and schedule tracking by
maintaining accurate logs and assisting with reporting.
8. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance in using tools like InEight, PowerBI, Excel, and
all MS Office programs.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. 1+ year of hands-on experience in construction project controls or cost analysis.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Certifications such as Primavera P6 Professional Project Management, Tableau Essential Training, and Data Visualization: Storytelling are a plus but not required.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
5. Experience with lnEight, P6, MS Project, MS Access, and all MS Office programs.
6. Proficiency in programming languages (C, C++, Java, Perl, Raspberry Pi), web development (HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, react.js), database technologies (MySQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SOL), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power Bl), and Al applications.
