As a Software Engineer on the RIS team at Novarad, you are a core contributor to a highly effective engineering team building modern radiology workflow software. You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and care deeply about the quality and reliability of the products you ship.
At this level, you work with meaningful autonomy-designing and delivering features end-to-end with guidance from your Tech Lead rather than step-by-step direction. What you'll do -
Design, implement, and maintain features across Novarad's web-based RIS application
โ€ข Contribute to the active migration from ASP.NET WebForms to Blazor, helping shape modern patterns and practices for the team
โ€ข Write clean, well-tested C# code targeting .NET with an eye toward scalability and long-term maintainability
โ€ข Collaborate with your Tech Lead and teammates in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver features on time and to a high standard of quality
โ€ข Participate in code and design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
โ€ข Build and maintain unit tests following established patterns and practices
โ€ข Engage with product managers and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business and clinical requirements
โ€ข Contribute to documentation and actively maintain the team knowledge base
โ€ข Identify and escalate technical risks or blockers proactively
โ€ข Participate in company and technical training to continue growing as an engineer
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (Framework or Core)
  • Experience developing web applications using ASP.NET (WebForms, MVC, or Core)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational database
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
  • Proficiency with Git or comparable version control system
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices including design patterns and testing
  • Awareness of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience with Blazor (Server or WASM) - strongly preferred
โ€ข Familiarity with JavaScript or front-end frameworks
โ€ข Experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards
โ€ข Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and practices
โ€ข Experience with Azure DevOps for work tracking and pipeline management
โ€ข Experience in the healthcare software industry (RIS, PACS, EHR)
โ€ข Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure or services
