Job description

Overview

The Web Application Developer is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating UI/UX design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities
  • Design, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient.
  • Utilize best software development practices to meet user needs.
  • Recommend software upgrades for current and future systems.
  • Translate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications.
  • Ensure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
  • Document every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited University.
  • 8 Years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in web application development.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades.
  • Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of database management and integration.
  • Understanding of web security best practices.
  • Ability to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades.
