Role Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) and web‑based solutions supporting HMGMA’s sales and production planning operations. The position plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting business‑critical systems that enable optimized production scheduling, sequencing, and operational planning across manufacturing environments. Acting as a key technical and functional partner to business teams, this role responds to production issues, delivers enhancements, and ensures system integration and user adoption to support overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • APS & Web Solution Development: Design, configure, and develop APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) systems and web‑based solutions tailored to automotive manufacturing requirements.
  • Production & Sales Planning Enablement: Implement and support sales and operations planning, production scheduling, and sequencing solutions to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • System Integration & Interfaces: Develop and maintain integrations between APS, SAP (SD/PP), and web user interfaces to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
  • Operational Support & Issue Resolution: Provide break/fix support, respond to production system issues, and implement immediate resolution efforts to minimize business impact.
  • Business Partnership & Training: Consult with sales and production teams to solve operational challenges, improve planning outcomes, and deliver user training to drive effective system use.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.
  • 5+ years of overall experience in the IT field, including at least 3 years of application development experience.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and configuring supply chain planning solutions (e.g., Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Optimization, Factory Planning, Master Scheduling, Demand Fulfillment, and sequencing systems).
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain KPIs, including data design, analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience developing scheduling and sequencing optimization algorithms.
  • Proficiency in web application development and databases, including Java, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and administration of open‑source RDBMS (e.g., MariaDB), web servers, and application servers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and supporting large‑scale or enterprise‑level applications.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing EAI interfaces between APS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Familiarity with modern Java and web frameworks such as Spring Boot, React, and MyBatis.
  • SCM or technical certifications such as CPIM, ERP, or Web Developer certification.

Base Salary Range: $76,300 - $99,200
