They may also collaborate with designers and content creators to deliver a seamless online experience.

What are some common challenges web developers face when working on cross-functional teams?

Web developers often collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers, which can present challenges in aligning priorities and communication styles. For example, translating design concepts into functional code may require negotiation and compromise, while ensuring that technical constraints are understood by non-technical team members. Regular meetings, clear documentation, and using project management tools can help facilitate smoother collaboration and address these challenges effectively.

Job description

About Us
Life Science Connect (LSC) is a community-driven data-enabled media and engagement platform serving professionals across the life sciences industry.
Our digital newsletters, content platforms, and reader data infrastructure exist for one purpose: to inform, connect, and support life science professionals in their work. This engaged, high-quality audience is the foundation of everything we do - and the asset that ultimately enables advertiser partnerships - which fuels our topline growth.
The Role
LSC is seeking a Senior Product Manager Audience & Data to own the data asset that empowers our revenue engine. You will build a data infrastructure that fuels the collection and processing of audience data and how it fuels commercial products across our marketing and data services portfolio.
What You'll Own
  • Data Quality, Validation & Enrichment - Define complete reader record standards, deploy real-time email validation. Build automated re-verification workflows that keep the database commercially viable and reliable.
  • Data Append & Augmentation - Own the execution of data supplementation to support commercial needs.
  • Audience Segmentation Architecture - Build and maintain the dynamic segmentation framework used by both editorial (personalization) and sales (advertiser targeting). Define segment health metrics, audit rules quarterly, and ensure every segment maps to a commercial advertiser persona.
  • Taxonomy Management - Manage the topic/tagging/associations catalog and dataset. Automate our data management lifecycle: how we map content to taxonomies to audience supply to demand and vice versa, in support of products across the commercial offering.
  • Engagement Scoring & Commercial Readiness - Build and maintain the composite reader score that ranks every contact by commercial value. Define engagement tiers (passive, active, deep), build score decay logic, establish lead readiness thresholds, and expose scores in Snowflake and CRM views for sales and marketing to act on.
  • Intent Data Infrastructure - Own the Snowflake data architecture underpinning LSC's Engagement and Advertising products and purchase intent data services. Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from Marketo, CMS/web analytics, BI tools. Define signal weighting, content taxonomy, and the account-level activity model that makes intent scoring possible.
  • Support Circulation and Fulfillment Operations - Collaborate on bi-directional knowledge exchange between Product/Data and Operations/Fulfillment, to create one seamless workflow.
  • Audience Analytics & Reporting Backend - Build the reporting infrastructure that makes LSC's audience data credible internally and valuable externally. Monthly audience health reports, advertiser-grade audience intelligence packages, and quarterly scoring model audits.

What We're Looking For
  • 6+ years in data product management, B2B media/publishing with direct ownership of first-party audience data assets
  • Deep expertise in B2B contact data: hygiene, enrichment, deduplication, and identity resolution
  • Experience building engagement scoring and lead readiness models that produce measurable commercial outcomes
  • Fluency in marketing automation and data warehousing (Snowflake preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate audience data strategy into revenue-generating products
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or complex B2B industries strongly preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across editorial, sales, engineering, and product - this role defines the data model that three teams depend on

Why Join Us?

We Invest in YOU
At Life Science Connect, our commitment to empowering innovation and facilitating growth within the life sciences sector extends to our employees. We offer a comprehensive total compensation program designed to support your overall health, financial well-being, and professional development.
