Job description

Location & Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, minimum 3 days per week onsite in Needham, MA. No relocation or housing assistance will be provided.

Join the SharkNinja Early Edge Experience: Built for early career talent. Geared toward impact. Driven by speed. Whether you're in a co-op or internship, our early talent program is designed to provide valuable exposure to the industry and a fast-paced professional environment. You'll dive into meaningful projects and tasks that sharpen your skills and deepen your knowledge. Along the way, you'll benefit from professional development opportunities, community events, and connections that make your experience well-rounded and enriching. Your time with us will culminate in an opportunity to showcase your contributions and learnings to SharkNinja leaders because this is a program for those ready to shape what's next - fast.

This role: CodeSharks are SharkNinja's AI-forward early talent web developers, embedded in our D2C business to make our websites faster and better every sprint. You'll attack a substantial backlog of D2C tickets - fixing the bugs you can own end-to-end, accelerating velocity on the rest - and serve as the conduit between Design and Engineering, translating design intent into clear, buildable requirements. You'll work in an agile model, ship real code to sites millions of consumers visit, and use AI tools like Claude Enterprise to move fast.

What you'll do:

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve issues from the D2C ticket backlog - shipping fixes to production and improving velocity sprint over sprint
  • Operate in agile: sprint planning, standups, story pointing, retrospectives
  • Bridge Design and Engineering - turn creative/UX intent into clear technical requirements and acceptance criteria that eliminate rework
  • Use AI-assisted development (Claude Enterprise, coding assistants, automated testing) to accelerate debugging, review, and QA
  • Identify root causes of recurring defects and propose durable fixes - not just flags
  • Report site health, bug burn-down, and velocity to business and technology leaders

What you'll bring:

  • Education: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program, or have graduated within the past year
  • Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a modern framework (React, Vue); e-commerce platform familiarity a plus
  • Working knowledge of Git, Jira/agile workflows, and QA basics; enough Figma/design literacy to partner with creative teams
  • Demonstrated experience building with AI tools, with examples you can speak to
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, design, data, and engineering teams - and using performance insights to decide what to build next
  • An entrepreneurial, ownership mindset: you treat every sprint like Day 1 and ship scalable solutions, not one-off patches
  • Excellent communication - you'll translate between designers, engineers, and business daily
