Job description

General Description

This a Quality Engineering internship position. The candidate will support the Quality Assurance team with planning and execution of quality inspections for new and existing products.

Duties

  • Create, update, and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection forms utilizing SolidWorks
  • Work closely with Quality Engineering and Mechanical Quality Assurance to create measurement reports for customers
  • Assists with projects in electrical quality assurance
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd year student with a minimum GPA of 3.25 preferred.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and SolidWorks preferred
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Creative mind to troubleshoot, find and resolve problems.

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • Normally works in an office setting with controlled temperature.
