Student Involvement and LeadershipThe Coordinator of Student Leadership & Community Values serves as a key driver of student leadership education, development, and engagement across campus. This role designs and implements leadership programs, facilitates workshops and retreats, and supports major campus traditions that strengthen student success and belonging. In addition, the Coordinator provides guidance to fraternity and sorority governing councils and chapters, integrating values-based leadership into the Greek experience. By fostering collaboration among student organizations and cultivating a culture of inclusive leadership, this position makes a significant impact on student growth, retention, and community engagement.Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

A. Leadership Development & Campus Programming

• Design and deliver leadership training, workshops, and retreats for student leaders, focusing on areas like member development, conflict resolution, accessibility and inclusion, and values-based leadership.
• Lead or support major student programs, including Leadership Retreat, Emerging Leaders, Leadership Awards, and others in alignment with departmental initiatives.
• Guide student organization development, policies, registration, and outcomes assessment alongside other campus involvement functions.

B. Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Advising & Support

• Provide advisement and coaching to one or more Greek governing councils (e.g., Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic Council) and a portfolio of chapters.
• Oversee intake and recruitment processes, risk management communications, chapter development, and compliance with university policies
• Collaborate with alumni advisors, national headquarters, and community partners to support chapter operations and leadership transitions.

C. Administrative & Collaboration Duties

• Manage program budgets, orders, supplies, travel arrangements, and documentation for Greek and leadership initiatives.
• Maintain FSL web presence, social media, promotional materials, and communication distribution.
• Serve on university and departmental committees; contribute to assessment and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with fraternities and sororities, student leadership programming, or student affairs broadly.
• Demonstrated skills in student advising, program planning, risk management, and event coordination.
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn web content platforms and engagement systems.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student personnel, or comparable field.
• Involvement in a Greek-letter organization (undergraduate or graduate membership).
• Knowledge of student development theory, leadership education frameworks, and higher ed best practices.
• Experience in risk management education and compliance within student affairs.
• Social media, marketing, and web content management experience.
