The position requires use of visual language to communicate ideas and ability to translate complex financial and educational concepts into tangible images to capture viewers' interest and inform. Develop marketing content across the my529 brand in collaboration with other designers and writers in the Publications Department and with professionals in other departments within the organization. Must scope out projects; develop concepts; and create designs for marketing and instructional materials using sophisticated software programs. The position requires proficiency in designing infographics.

  • Designs various internal and public-facing projects, including newsletters, brochures, governing board materials, reports, forms, legal documents, guides, print and digital advertising, graphics and charts, infographics, webpages and other materials.
  • Creates polished and intricate infographics with advanced proficiency.
  • Collaborates with writers, editors and internal client departments to develop creative products.
  • Meets deadlines for project creation and completion.
  • Participates creatively and collaboratively in brainstorming sessions.
  • Manages projects from initial client contact through final delivery.
  • Verifies design of materials is consistent with my529 branding and style.
  • Confirms materials adhere to ADA standards.
  • Ensures materials are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizes market trends and development strategies to propel marketing objectives.
  • Ensures the design of materials is appealing and effective for the intended audience.
  • Maintains version control of my529 documents/forms.
  • Ensures materials are accurate and timely.

Print and Procurement
  • Follows all purchasing procurement policies.
  • Coordinates organization-wide print projects with vendors.
  • Maintains log of all print materials purchased.
  • Monitors inventory to ensure adequate supplies of print materials are on hand.

Other Duties
  • Works on special projects and other duties as assigned.
