Job description

Overview
GRAPHIC DESIGNER (NAVAIR-2026-26007-F): Bowhead seeks an experienced graphic designer to join the NAVAIR Command Communication Team.
This is a temp role.
Responsibilities
The graphics designer will provide timely multi-media, desktop publishing, and presentation support to meet NAVAIR Corporate Communication Department requirements. Tasking may include:
• Meet with customer to determine the scope of project
• Understand the message the design should portray
• Create images that identify or convey a message
• Develop graphics to illustrate organizational principles on websites and in print
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout
• Present the design for approval
• Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
• Review designs for errors The graphic design shall provide multi-media support for digital media using appropriate software including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Content shall be in accordance with appropriate style guides, including, but not limited to Associated Press, Navy and NAVAIR styles.
Qualifications
Education:
  • BS or BA degree in graphic design or a related field. Allowable Substitution:
  • AS or AA degree in graphic design and two (2) years of experience.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years of experience.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PC and Mac operating systems, graphic design.
  • Additional tasking involves working with HTML and web tools to design and publish messaging via email and web portals. Sharepoint development knowledge is a plus.

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
