Job description

A 4th generation family owned company established in 1945, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots.  We are currently recruiting a skilled Multimedia Designer responsible for the creative development of marketing collateral material, print & digital advertising and product packaging for the Pictsweet Company. The Multimedia Designer translates written or verbally communicated marketing messages into professional grade designs through a collaborative creative development process. This position within our in-house graphics department is based at the company headquarters in Bells, TN.

  • Create & develop designs for marketing collateral material and print & digital advertising.
  • Contribute to the product packaging design development and perform mechanical design work for product packaging.
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure final designs are on-brand using appropriate logos & colors.
  • Collaborate with internal graphic design team members as well with external agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and revision tracking.
  • Maintain professional level of communication with all external and internal suppliers at all phases of the graphic production process.
  • Create and update web designs as needed.
  • Perform in-house photography and videography as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design or like discipline.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of prior work experience in the graphic services industry. This could include college work experience if recent graduate.
  • Experienced with Mac OS.
  • Experience with one of the following is required: photography, videography and video editing.
  • Printing industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with the following software or applications is a plus:
    • Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, FTP client software (e.g. Filezilla)
    • Web Content Management Systems – Expression Engine
    • Cinema4D
    • Cheetah3D and Canva
    • Connect Fonts/Suitcase Fusion

Special Skills

  • Expert skill level in all major Adobe graphic applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.
  • Proofreading skills and strong attention to detail required.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Basic technical trouble shooting skills required.
  • Creative copy writing skills.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and website content management systems preferred.
