Job description

Greenlight is a family technology company on a mission to help families raise financially smart kids and navigate life together. Its suite of products - including the Greenlight app, debit card, Safe Family GPS trackers, and Family Hub - brings together financial tools, safety features, and everyday family management in one connected experience. Designed for busy families who want convenience without compromise, Greenlight continues to innovate alongside the evolving needs of modern life. Today, more than 6.5 million family members trust Greenlight to stay in sync.
At Greenlight, we're here to make the day-to-day easier and futures brighter, so families can spend less time managing life, and more time living it. That's why we get out of bed every morning.

In this role, you will create high-performing web experiences, guide product discovery journeys and build delightful user onboarding. Working alongside partners from Product Management, Engineering, Brand, Marketing, and other core teams, you will help ensure that Greenlight delivers truly lovable and memorable experiences.
This role is a full-time remote position.
About the Team
We are a collaborative, full-stack Design org with disciplines that span Product Design, Brand Design, Motion Design, Print Design, and Design Program Management. We are led by our VP of Design, Creative Director, and Product Design Director and work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Marketing partners. Our team is critical in helping ensure that Greenlight delivers truly lovable experiences with product and brand expressions that are aligned.
Who you are:
  • An experienced designer with proven ability to create websites and digital experiences that have made an impact on business metrics or customer growth.
  • A technical expert in UX & UI design, able to ensure designs are optimized for responsive environments, usability, and digital design best practices.
  • A student of contemporary web and experience design trends and technologies.
  • Able to brainstorm, concept, sketch, and execute high-fidelity designs, delivering on a creative brief.
  • Able to clearly communicate design concepts and intention, verbally and visually.
  • Able to work independently and as a collaborator on the team. Able to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, who is able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

What you will be doing:
  • Build user-centered website layouts, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and conversion-focused digital experience. Learn through testing into solutions and iterate to keep improving performance. Develop a deep understanding of business objectives and customer needs, and how digital experiences can acquire and retain customers.
  • Own direction and quality of your initiatives, including systems-level thinking about how your work connects to the broader product and design systems.
  • Drive UI decisions and deliver engineering-ready designs, flows, and components with a high bar for craft. Lead website design development process from start to finish: from ideation, user research, user flows, information architecture, visual design, to delivery and quality assurance.
  • Raise the bar for design through the quality of your work and how you show up in brainstorms, reviews, and cross-functional partnership. Stay up-to-date with web trends and best practices, tools, accessibility standards, etc, and weave those into your digital design practice.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, copywriters, and engineers to translate complex business challenges into best-in-class digital experiences.

What you should bring:
  • 5-7 years of web design experience with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership, impact and outcomes, and the thinking behind your designs.
  • Fluency in Figma, including design systems and prototyping for engineering handoff.
  • Familiarity and experience with AI tools including Claude, Figma make, Gemini, etc
  • Comfort operating independently in an ambiguous environment.
  • Mobile app experience preferred; fintech or consumer product background a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of AfterEffects, other motion tools, and prototyping tools are a big plus.
  • Front end development experience preferred to help bridge the gap between design and engineering and ensure quality implementation

Who we are:
It takes a talented team to aim for a mission like ours. We're looking for people who ask "is it bold enough?" We win by never hesitating to jump in, offer a hand, or share the credit, because we know we're stronger together than apart. And through all of it, the mission stays the thing we measure ourselves against: are we doing right by the families counting on us? If that sounds like your kind of team, we'd love for you to apply.
