Job Description:
The OPS Web Assistant supports routine website updates and content maintenance for the Department of Psychology in coordination with CLAS Media Services. This position works with faculty, administrators, and staff to help ensure website content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with college standards. The position will work on campus in the Department of Psychology and serve as a liaison between the department and the CLAS Media Services Web Designer.
Website Content Support
  • Implement new content and update existing content on a WordPress multi-site installation.
  • Assist with routine website edits, page updates, and content maintenance.
  • Help organize website content so it is clear, current, and easy to navigate.

Accessibility and Standards
  • Follow established standards for website accessibility, search engine optimization, and responsive design.
  • Review website updates for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to provided standards.
  • Support routine quality checks to help maintain accessible and user-friendly web pages.

Department and College Coordination
  • Communicate with Psychology faculty, administrators, and staff regarding website update needs.
  • Coordinate with the CLAS Media Services Web Designer on website priorities, standards, and implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Department of Psychology and CLAS Media Services for assigned website work.

Expected Salary:
$16 per hour.
