Job Title: Integration Specialist - Web Content
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)
Job Summary:-
We are seeking an experienced Integration Specialist - Web Content to support the publishing, maintenance, and optimization of web content across a multi-site digital environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with Marketing, UX, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure web content is accurate, accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with established content standards and governance processes.
This role focuses on executing and managing web content within an existing content management framework and is not responsible for content strategy, information architecture, or website design.
Required Qualifications:-
  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  2. 3-5 years of experience in web content publishing, digital content management, or CMS-driven environments.
  3. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress or similar platforms.
  4. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create user-focused digital content.
  5. Experience implementing accessibility best practices in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA / 2.2 AA standards.
  6. Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including metadata, heading structures, and internal linking.
  7. Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI Optimization (AIO) to improve content visibility in AI-powered search and conversational platforms.
  8. Experience following established content governance models, taxonomy, and publishing standards.
  9. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, UX, and IT.
  10. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  11. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume content updates across multiple websites.
  12. Experience using collaboration and design tools such as Figma and Slickplan.

Preferred Qualifications:-
  1. Experience working in higher education or other large, decentralized organizations.
  2. Experience supporting enterprise-level website migrations or digital transformation initiatives.
  3. Familiarity with structured content models and multi-site web environments.
