Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Web Application Developer to support the development and sustainment of a mission-essential Learning Management System (LMS). In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle. You will guide the development team through planning and execution, establish sprint and release priorities, and ensure new capabilities are designed, implemented, tested, and delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading development teams and have a strong background in web application development with familiarity working within an LMS environment. Required Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI security clearance.
  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a related field and ten (10) years of relevant experience. Also acceptable is a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and five (5) years or no degree and thirteen (13) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience developing modern web applications and user interfaces.
  • Proficiency with a range of programming languages, frameworks, and web technologies to include:
    • Python
    • Shell scripting
    • Go
    • HTML/CSS
    • JavaScript/TypeScript
    • AJAX
    • JSON/XML
    • jQuery
    • React/Redux
    • SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Relational database technologies
  • Experience with containerized application development and deployment using Docker or comparable technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, including application deployment, scaling, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter.
  • Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements and their application to UX/UI design and implementation.
  • Experience leading a development team using Agile methodologies.
