Job Description

Web Browser / Web Applications Tester

6+ Months

Irving, TX

Need Full GC and USC

Candidate must have Web Application and browser testing experience.

AEM is preferred but not a must. Very hard to find QA consultants with AEM as only developers usually have that skill. They will look at ALM and IBM websphere experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Will function as a Quality Assurance analyst within the QA Practice

Will function as a project team member on medium to high complexity projects in a matrixed environment.

Will perform test analysis, test execution, reporting related activities on medium to high complexity projects.

Will uphold quality of product developed by collaborating with product teams.

Will function with minimum supervision, yet fully engaged with the product and project team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will perform software testing of web applications and functionality across various browser configurations

Will perform front-end and back-end analysis of applications without detailed instruction.

Will perform test case peer reviews.

Will participate in technical and functional requirement review meetings.

Will apply QA and Testing processes and best practices to low and medium complexity projects.

Will analyze requirements and create/update test cases.

Will use SQL queries skills to perform data verification.

Will create test data as required for testing

Will log defects, anomalies and issues into defect tracking systems

Will review defects, anomalies and issues with developers and other project team members to assist with resolution

Will report test results to test leads/managers

Will report status to test leads/managers

As a team lead will be responsible for:

o managing team workload and project deadlines

o performing strategy development and test planning

o managing the defect resolution process

o reporting team status to the project manager

REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS

Technical and QA Skills (3+ years)

o Experience testing applications built on the Struts framework

o Experience with IBM Websphere

o Experience with IBM Web Content Manager

o Experience with Adobe Experience Manager

o Browser testing one or more tools like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, Adobe BrowserLab etc.

o Any combination of browser/Web Application Testing skills such as CSS/HTML validation, cookies, usability, compatibility, Security testing (script logins, captcha, SSL, error messages, etc.) and/or authentication and session testing, injection, cross scripting, redirects and forwards etc.

o SQL queries skills to perform intermediate data verification.

o Understand the concepts of a SDLC (Waterfall, Agile) and their interrelationships with QA

Able to express ideas and thoughts well verbally and in written form.

Detail oriented

Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Strong time management skills

Ability to use tools to facilitate testing

Able to take direction from management, or more senior project team members

Willing to travel as required

Hard working, flexible, and willing to learn

Strong ability to work in an open, dynamic, and collaborative team environment

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree /4-year college degree in Computer Science or engineering-related fields or relevant work experience.

Required: Minimum of 3 years of QA experience

Optional: Exposure to test automation or performance engineering.

Optional: Previous experience with Business Analysis, Technical Support, Development, Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Project Management or Customer Relations.
