Job Title: Application Developer - Mid Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Anticipated Posting End: 12/31/2026 The Opportunity: * Build mission-critical GEOINT applications on a fast-paced Agile team supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
* Develop modern web-based software that enables intelligence analysis and mission execution.
* Work across the full stack - from user-facing features to data services - in a cloud-native environment.
* Sharpen your skills alongside senior developers, architects, and mission stakeholders. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, test, and maintain web application features using Java and/or Python.
* Implement and consume RESTful APIs and service integrations.
* Develop and enhance GIS-enabled application capabilities and services.
* Work with relational and non-relational databases to manage structured and unstructured data.
* Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and integration activities.
* Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
* Deliver within sprint cycles as part of a cross-functional Agile team. Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
* 4+ years of professional software development experience.
* Proficiency developing in Java, Python, or both.
* Experience with modern web application frameworks and development practices.
* Working knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
* Familiarity with Git-based workflows and Agile development practices.
* Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination. Desired: * Experience with GIS technologies (ArcGIS, GeoServer , OpenLayers, Cesium, or similar).
* Familiarity with containerization, cloud, or DevSecOps tooling.
* Experience operating within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks.
