$46.110 - $59.500 - $66.650


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
Provides development and support for all web applications across the enterprise. Completes small to medium development tasks in support of projects or enhancements. Provides production support, addresses TAC calls, and completes design and development tasks on time.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 Years Experience developing applications using technologies used at Sharp.
  • General programming experience in at least one language.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in languages currently included in the Sharp technology stack.
  • Experience interacting with relational databases using SQL.

Other Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Health Care Administration; or relevant experience in excess of three years or appropriate certifications may be substituted. - REQUIRED

Essential Functions
  • Design and Development
    Performs analysis, technical design, development, and maintenance activities associated with web applications.
    Reviews and understands business requirements and functional specifications.
    Interprets and translates functional specifications into appropriate technical design using department standards.
    Follows SDLC process in code development and utilizes department naming standards.
    Demonstrates knowledge of technical design diagraming and creates appropriate diagrams to document solutions.
    Develops code based on Requirements (BRD), Functional Specification (FSD), and Technical Specification (TSD) documents.
    Minimizes production issues by thorough analysis, creative design, and sound development of code.
    Uses sound judgment in performing change control management appropriately, including synchronization of test and production environments.
    Exhibits structured programming methodology in code.
    Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to following proper procedures.
  • Documentation and Support
    Ensures department documentation is current, accurate and available. Department documentation includes, but is not limited to, specification documents, on-call documents, code documentation, and WIKI.
    Develops technical specifications and other development documentation to appropriately describe application or code.
    Works with developers, analysts, and project managers to assist with the development of project plans, scope documents, requirements and functional specification documents.
    Follows department change management procedures for documentation.
    Completes project server tracking reports.
    Provides production support by addressing production issues stemming from user calls.
  • Problem Analysis and Resolution
    Utilizes effective and creative problem solving techniques within Information Systems accepted framework to develop quality services, products, and resolve problems.
    Performs thorough problem analysis using sound judgment and initiative.
    Identifies root cause and determines remedies for problems.
    Identifies and communicates options and proposed solutions.
    Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions.
    Seeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution.
    Responds to on-call issues in a manner and time frame consistent with the department guidelines, including ticket transfer procedures, if transferring is appropriate.
  • System Testing
    System Testing and Deployment - Configures, develops, and executes test plans to ensure optimum system performance and adherence to change management processes.
    Ensures the appropriate use of test environments.
    Creates and executes test plans adequately.
    Assists in the maintenance of software changes across the production and test environments according to department SDLC procedures.
    Performs unit testing for all code developed in a timely and accurate manner.
    Assist with creation of deployment plans for production releases and execution of deployment plans.
    Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to follow proper procedures.
    Follows department code promotion procedures.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow team standards and processes.
  • Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent inquiries regarding deadlines.
