Job description

Learning Experience Designers on our Clinical and Business Applications Training team are responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of engaging and effective training content for various enterprise IT systems, with a strong focus on our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Epic. The ideal candidate blends expertise in instructional design principles, multimedia content creation, and an understanding of the clinical/operational context of healthcare IT. They will also be a forward-thinker, leveraging modern digital tools, including AI, to enhance content creation efficiency and learner experience.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and content development.
• Expertise using industry-standard authoring tools like Articulate Storyline/Rise and TechSmith Camtasia/Snagit.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing software simulation training.
Technical & Soft Skills:
• Strong understanding of modern web-based learning principles and multimedia development.
• Aptitude for learning and applying new technologies, with a specific, articulated understanding of how to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) for content development efficiencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable learning content for diverse audiences (clinical, administrative, and technical).
Epic certification is required within 3 months of employment if necessary. 2 test retakes will be allowed during the 3 month timeframe.

Master's degree in a relevant field.
Current Epic Training Certification/Accreditation/Proficiency in at least one module (e.g., Willow, Prelude, Cogito).
TechSmith Camtasia and/or Snagit Certificate.
Experience administering or publishing content within an industry-standard LMS.
Experience developing visually appealing graphics for training content.
Experience focused specifically on Healthcare IT systems training (EHR/EMR).
Experience delivering instructor-led training in person and virtually
Experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow Knowledge Base articles.
Prior experience in a rapid development environment.
Compensation Range
$97,665.00 - $146,497.00 per year
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
