Description

CVOEO's Weatherization program is hiring!  The Crew Member Level 1 will be responsible for safely working in homes and/or construction sites of low-income Vermonters. This can involve the usual hazards of construction, including but not limited to entering small spaces (attics, crawl spaces, knee walls), being on ladders or scaffolding, using power tools, etc. Install energy-saving measures including installing lights, fans, humidistats, and other basic electrical devices; improving heating distribution systems, ventilation and indoor air quality; and minor rehabilitation and repair work as needed to ensure effectiveness of weatherization measures.

Requirements

Successful completion and a minimum of one year's experience as Apprentice Crew Member is required or equivalent related work experience. Basic carpentry and electrical skills are required. The successful candidate will possess all certifications and qualifications required including OSHA 10, First Aid Basics, Current Basic Lead Safe Work Practices training. Must have the ability to safely use power tools and equipment; a valid driver's license, clean driving record, access to reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel within the CVOEO service area.
