Summary:
The Weatherization Specialist is responsible for coordinating the processing, tracking, and submission of Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) applicant files. As the primary point of contact for WAP customers, vendors, and contractors, this role plays a key part in improving the home environments of low-income homeowners. The Weatherization Specialist ensures that all applications are processed efficiently, maintains organized records, and facilitates effective communication between applicants and contractors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. WAP Application Processing:
    • Process all incoming applications within 90 days.
    • Create and manage files for incoming applications, auditor files, bid files, post-audit packets, and finance packets.
    • Research applicant eligibility and ensure all required documentation is collected.
    • Input data into THO, WAP database, and various spreadsheets to track applications, eligibility, funding, and completed jobs.
    • Correspond with applicants regarding application status and determine priority level.
    • Manage contractor communication regarding weatherization projects.
  2. Respond promptly to all WAP inquiries via email, phone, or in person.
  3. Maintain an organized filing system for WAP-related documents.
  4. Manage all WAP purchase orders.
  5. Ensure punctuality and timeliness throughout the workday.
  6. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Director.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative-related work environment.
