Job description

Wages: Hourly + Monthly Incentive/Bonus for NGAT Certification
Job Summary:

The NGAT certified Weatherization Installer will travel with their crew in a company vehicle to residential homes to evaluate and install home energy upgrades for qualifying customers. The main job duty is to perform energy-efficient measures with the highest quality and efficiency, while providing excellent customer service to all residents and program participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be PG&E NGAT Certified. Able to monitor and train NGAT.
  • Determines feasibility of Energy Efficiency Measure(s).
  • Identifies and documents non-feasibility reason(s) of measure(s) not installed on work order.
  • Measures (tests) gas appliances for levels of carbon monoxide (CO).
  • Participate in all training sessions/meetings.
  • Report to work on time and prepared to work.
  • Will be responsible for mentoring and training other WS as assigned by Manager.
  • Responsible for the good image of the company outside the working area.
  • Protect the confidentiality of any processes inherent in the operation of Highland Energy Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be NGAT certified (REQUIRED) 
  • Must possess a valid California Driver License and a clean DMV record.
  • Must have held the position of a Weatherization Specialist 3 while maintaining company specified inspection pass rate.
  • Demonstrate the ability to support, mentor, train, and evaluate other Team Members performance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot a variety of installation issues and/or concerns.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, climb, crawl in confined spaces, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb 16 foot ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack. Can listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
