BRCTV-13 is seeking a dynamic individual to deliver an entertaining weather forecast for our weekday
evening news programs. Ideal candidate will be able to translate weather data into conversational and
relatable information for our local audience in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Will also produce a weekly feature story.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Forecasting local weather for our 7 county region
  • Preparing relevant weather graphics to communicate the weather forecast
  • Presenting the live weather forecast across multiple platforms
  • Utilizing computer model data to produce an accurate forecast
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D,
  • Degree or Certificate in Meteorology preferred
  • Established residency in Pennsylvania
  • Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
  • Personable "On-Air" presence
  • Prior experience as a TV weather person preferred
  • Experience producing compelling weather graphics
  • Shooting and Editing experience helpful
  • Strong Communications Skills - Oral and written
  • Good Computer Skills
