Client Service Associate

Bellevue, WA; Menlo Park, CA; Seattle, WA

Position Summary

Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Client Service Associate to join our team! The Client Service Associate is an integral member of the Wealth Management team, helping to advance our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for every client. The Client Service Associate provides account support services, including onboarding, account maintenance, distributions, and portfolio accounting and reporting. The CSA will support multiple wealth advisory teams. Focus provides team members the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. Our hybrid model is defined as 3 days in office work required per week, while giving team members the option to work remotely 2 day per week, or as assigned by their team leader.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients and the wealth management team with preparation of account applications, asset-transfer forms, client-specific requests at various custodians (e.g., check requests, distributions); and communicating with the company's custodians and initiating proactive follow-through on such action points.
  • Assisting the compliance and the wealth management teams with internal compliance and external requirements necessary for new accounts and assets.
  • Preparing and updating financial schedules and analyses, client presentations, and client meeting agendas.
  • Drafting and processing correspondence to clients and communicating with clients by telephone and email.
  • Assisting in tax season, e.g., sending account statements to CPAs and clients.
  • Interacting with spreadsheet-driven reports for the wealth management team and the company's clients.
  • Maintaining electronic and physical records and files in an orderly fashion and updating client information into the company's databases.
  • Assist with the generation and delivery of ad hoc reports.
  • Assist people in the office with DocuSign letters.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years relevant experience (including internships).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure, work independently, and work in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and proven ability to learn other software and technology.
  • Experience with common portfolio management systems (Tamarac, Axys, Orion) and CRM (Salesforce) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and an ability to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Moderate understanding of investment products and investment operations is desired.
  • Notable attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to juggle multiple and competing tasks and demands.

This position is a non-exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $65,000-$75,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
