Job description

Key responsibilities
Harborside Wealth Management Group is seeking an early-career professional who wants to build a long-term career in wealth management.
This is a developmental role designed for someone with a genuine interest in finance and financial markets who is organized, motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn. Prior financial services experience and securities licenses are not required, but we are looking for someone who actively follows business and financial news and wants to develop a deeper understanding of investing and wealth management. Successful completion of the SIE and Series 7 exams is expected within the first 12 months of employment.
The associate will initially support the broader team while learning our systems, processes, and approach to client service. From the beginning, however, you will be expected to take ownership of your responsibilities: understand what needs to be accomplished, ask the questions necessary to move the work forward, research what you don't know, and follow through to completion. As experience and capabilities grow, the role will expand to include direct responsibility for client relationships and increasingly complex work.
• Assist with day-to-day client requests, account maintenance, paperwork, documentation, and follow-up.
• Serve as an additional point of contact for clients and help ensure requests are handled accurately and promptly.
• Assume primary service responsibility for a small group of clients as knowledge and experience develop.
• Assist with client onboarding and account-opening processes.
• Monitor outstanding client and operational items and follow through to resolution.
• Coordinate with advisors, senior client service associates, and UBS resources to address client needs.
Team & Advisor Support
• Provide administrative and operational support across the team.
• Coordinate client meetings, including scheduling, preparation, materials, and follow-up.
• Assist advisors with calendar management, business expenses, reporting, and other day-to-day needs.
• Help maintain client records and team documentation.
• Support recurring team projects, reporting, and seasonal initiatives.
• Look for opportunities to improve processes and make the team more efficient.
Learning & Development
From the beginning, the associate will be expected to learn the business-not simply complete assigned tasks. This includes:
• Developing an understanding of wealth management and the needs of high-net-worth clients.
• Following financial markets, business news, and economic developments and building an understanding of how they affect clients.
• Learning UBS systems, tools, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Building knowledge of investments, financial planning, and the services available to clients.
• Asking questions, conducting research, and seeking out the information needed to execute responsibilities accurately and completely.
• Developing strong client communication and relationship-management skills.
• Successfully complete the SIE and Series 7 within the first 6 months.
• Understanding how individual responsibilities contribute to the client experience and the work of the broader team.
• Taking on greater client and operational responsibility as capabilities develop.
It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require right administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.

• Genuine interest in working with clients and solving problems.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Comfort working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Interest in building a career, not simply finding a job.
Prior wealth management experience and securities licenses are not required upon hire. The successful candidate will be expected to pass the SIE and Series 7 within the first 12 months.
