Your Future Team

Vigilant Wealth Management, a Hightower advisory practice with approximately $3.8 billion in assets under management as of June, 2026, is hiring an early-career Wealth Advisory Analyst to join our Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH team. This role is designed for a recent college graduate who wants to build a long-term career in wealth management and client advisory work with a focus on financial planning and relationship building.

You will work directly with experienced Wealth Advisors and Client Relationship Associates, learn how high-net-worth families are advised, support client planning and service work, and build the technical and professional foundation needed to grow into a broader advisory role over time.

This is a hybrid position based in either our Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH office, with work-from-home flexibility and occasional travel between offices for team meetings, training, or client-related work. You will report to the Principal.

What You'll Do

  • Support Wealth Advisors and their books of business by helping prepare for client, prospect, and center-of-influence meetings
  • Help create and update client wealth plans, meeting materials, presentations, and required paperwork
  • Support inbound wealth planning tasks and participate in the Wealth Advisory Committee and Sales Committee
  • Help onboard new clients by preparing account-opening documents and coordinating with clients, advisors, and custodians for an accurate and efficient onboarding process
  • Learn the operational foundation of wealth management by working with custodial platforms such as Schwab and Fidelity to support account openings, money movements, gifting, transfers of assets, and account maintenance
  • Maintain internal client files and help ensure client data is current, accurate, and consistent across technology platforms
  • Work with related professional advisors, including CPAs, estate attorneys, insurance agents, and other centers of influence
  • Help coordinate advisor and client workflows, including meeting preparation, scheduling, follow-up tracking, and ensuring advisors have the information needed to deliver a positive client experience
  • Support client retention by helping track client service standards and prompting follow-up
  • Monitor publications and public information to identify prospective clients, client-relevant developments, and potential marketing or networking opportunities
  • Begin developing professional networking skills and learn how advisors build long-term relationships with clients, prospects, and centers of influence
  • Understand and follow our compliance, confidentiality, and client-service responsibilities

What You'll Bring

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in wealth management, financial planning, investments, or client advisory work
  • Professional judgment and discretion with confidential client information
  • Comfort learning new technology platforms and workflows
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Helpful, but not required:

  • Internship, coursework, or student-organization experience related to finance, investments, accounting, economics, client service, sales, or business development

  • Exposure to CRM systems, Salesforce, Tamarac, Schwab, Fidelity, WebEx, or financial planning software

Career Path and Development

This role is intended to be a launch point into wealth management. Over time, you may develop toward more senior independent wealth advisory positions. You will receive hands-on training in client service, financial planning workflows, custodial platforms, CRM systems, compliance, advisor preparation, and professional communication.
