To thrive as a Waymark technician, you need expertise in surveying, mapping, and geographic information systems (GIS), often supported by a relevant technical certification or degree. Familiarity with GPS equipment, CAD software, and GIS platforms is typically required for accurate data collection and analysis. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are important soft skills for collaborating with project teams and clients. These skills ensure precise waymark placement, reliable data management, and successful project outcomes in mapping and navigation-related fields.
