WAVE is currently looking for a Materials Planner to join our team! 

Salary Range: $67,442 - $84,367 (not inclusive of quarterly profit sharing) 

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Primary responsibility of the Materials Planner is to manage flow and inventory or raw materials to support our production plan. 
  • Manage on a daily basis: 
    • Manage raw material inventory, obsolescence inventory and scheduled cycle counting.
    • Communicate, identify & mitigate risks to the production plan
    • Planning of the production schedule for assigned lines through BPCS & SAP
    • Promote company culture and commitment to safety
  • Manage on a weekly basis:
    • Adjust raw material priorities to align with the weekly extended plan (4 to 6 weeks)
    • Manage material rejects through suppliers
    • Identify & mitigate production constraints (manpower, raw material flow) with leadership team
  • Manage on a monthly basis:
    • Report on key metric performance for service, costs, inventory and plant performance
    • Drive process improvement throughout our supply chain
    • Assist with project management of capital or strategic activities

Organizational Alignment: 

  • Reports to Supply Chain Manager
  • Business Partner to Planners and the Steel Processing Manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Three years of experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing management or related
  • Strong ownership and attention to detail, highly organized and capable of solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment. Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm in a fast-paced department. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. The ability to build relationships and the comfort to reach out to internal and external contacts to request information. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, BPCS, SAP, Cognos
