Job description

Watteredge, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and facility maintenance to keep machinery and building systems operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and fabrication work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and follow equipment manuals, work orders, detailed instructions, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Set up, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including scheduled inspections, lubrication, servicing, and parts replacement.
  • Diagnose mechanical and equipment problems and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Perform general facility repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faulty components, and repairing walls or floors.
  • Observe operating machinery for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction and respond promptly to identified problems.
  • Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and upgrade projects.
  • Monitor parts and materials inventory and request replacements as needed.
  • Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, inspection reports, equipment logs, parts records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams, other departments, contractors, and vendors.
  • Assist and provide guidance to lessexperienced maintenance team members when needed.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, company safety procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and fabrication systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment and complete repairs independently.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, schematics, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problemsolving skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Education
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified industrial maintenance or related technical program is preferred.
  • Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and temperature variations.
  • Regular walking and standing on the plant floor are required.
  • Employees may frequently be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 45 pounds without assistance.
  • Required personal protective equipment must be worn as directed.
