The Role
Step into Waterworks’ newly reimagined Georgetown showroom, an elevated, immersive space designed to showcase our distinctive product assortment and bring our design perspective to life. Serving the most discerning trade clients, Waterworks is known for collaborating on highly exclusive, design-driven projects that set the standard for craftsmanship and luxury.

As General Manager, you will lead the location, overseeing all aspects of financial performance while partnering closely with Sales Leadership to shape both short- and long-term strategy for the territory. In this role, you will inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed goals, foster continued market growth, and deliver an exceptional, white-glove client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Full financial P&L, operations, and account management responsibility for the showroom
  • Lead, coach and develop Sales team in selling, marketing, and new business development activities 
  • Execute organizational strategies to firmly position Waterworks as the industry leader for luxury bath and kitchen
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the architect and design community
  • Enhance relationships with current clients to increase sales
  • Strategically guide and develop individual associate’s account and CRM activity through regular one on one meetings to ensure marketing activities match potential
  • Establish and maintain operational processes to uphold Waterworks brand image
  • Investigate and implement innovative ways to proactively market Waterworks products
  • Create showroom environment that delivers luxury experience to all our clients
  • Coach team to stay current on product range and competitors’ offerings, and report findings to cross functional partners
  • Hold designated showroom associate accountable for project management, offering outstanding service and follow through for our clients
  • Empower associates to resolve client issues and implement solutions
  • Other responsibilities designed to grow market share
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years inside/outside sales experience in a showroom, luxury retail or architectural design firm
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales management role within high end luxury brand environment
  • Self-motivated team leader with excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Well connected within the luxury design trade around the showroom
  • Ability to take charge, drive for results and make sound decisions quickly
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Exceptional time management skills with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to inspire trust, integrity and professionalism
  • Innovative and strategic thinking
  • Plumbing/tile/Construction background/exposure a plus
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications: working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Requires up to 20% travel
This role has a base salary plus generous bonus opportunity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Waterworks may require physical requirements within its Showroom locations as follows:
Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, stock room and office. Position could entail periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing. Licensed to drive preferred. Ability to travel locally or out of state.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, pull/push, climb and balance, and to be elevated up to 20 feet in the air on harnessed equipment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110 pounds with assistance from one other Associate and use of proper technique. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
