Job description

Job Summary

We are building a team of reliable and safety-oriented Field Service Technician’s to support routine field operations, preventive maintenance, and basic maintenance activities for water treatment and utility systems at the project site.

The Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of water treatment and utility systems at customer sites. This role provides hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and operational support while working alongside experienced technicians and client personnel.

You will support meter readings, work order notifications, consumables replacement, basic system checks, and water piping inspection under supervision. You will perform assigned operation support tasks according to instructions from client engineers, MU Aqua engineers, or senior technicians. Our ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and has basic familiarity with water systems, piping, valves, pumps, filters, tanks, and related utility equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support routine operations and preventive maintenance for water treatment and utility systems.
  • Perform meter readings, work order notifications, equipment checks, and shift/on-duty support.
  • Assist with visual inspection of piping, valves, pumps, filters, tanks, gauges, and related components.
  • Report leaks, abnormal pressure/flow readings, unusual equipment noise, vibration, damage, or other abnormal conditions.
  • Assist the client team with replacement of RO, ACF, UV, resin, filter cartridges, and other consumables.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and operation support tasks according to instructions from client engineers, MU Aqua engineers, or senior technicians.
  • Follow client procedures, company work instructions, and all site safety requirements.
  • Properly use required PPE and complete required PPE, chemical awareness, and safety training.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in field operations, water treatment, utility systems, construction, industrial/commercial/residential maintenance, automotive, HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related work.
  • Basic understanding of water systems, piping, valves, pumps, filters, tanks, gauges, or utility equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RO, ACF, UV, resin systems, filter replacement, or water system maintenance is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and sense of responsibility.
  • Willingness to work fully on-site and support shift/on-duty operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in clean room and/or semi-conductor facility a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, and work in confined or industrial environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, when applicable.
