Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Water Treatment Account Representative to join a growing environmental services team. This role blends hands-on technical work with customer relationship management and light business development.

You’ll support water safety compliance while managing assigned customer accounts, performing field testing, optimizing treatment programs, and helping clients improve system performance across cooling towers, boilers, closed loops, and domestic water systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical amp; Water Safety Services
  • Perform routine system inspections, sampling, and water testing (pH, chlorine, silica, conductivity, etc.)

  • Support chemical treatment programs for cooling towers, closed loops, boilers, and domestic systems

  • Inspect and monitor pumps, tanks, controllers, and chemical feed equipment

  • Assist with Water Management Plans and general water safety assessments

  • Support Legionella sampling and compliance activities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues

  • Apply chemicals safely and accurately per established procedures

  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety standards while in the field

Client Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts

  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular site visits and reviews

  • Communicate technical findings in clear, actionable terms

  • Address customer concerns and coordinate internal support as needed

  • Support customer retention through proactive service

Reporting amp; Documentation
  • Complete detailed service reports with recommendations in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate testing records and system documentation

  • Assist with compliance documentation and audit preparation

Sales Support amp; Growth Opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for additional services within existing accounts

  • Introduce expanded offerings during organic customer conversations

  • Submit qualified leads and assist with proposal development

  • Learn basic sales and negotiation fundamentals

  • Support company growth through relationship-based service expansion

Required Skills amp; QualificationsTechnical
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment
