Job description

Culligan Total Water Treatment Systems, Inc. is looking for a Quality Process Technicians to hire immediately to prepare tanks which are used for water filtration by commercial and industrial customers.

This position works our of our Madison, WI Plant. Hours are Monday- Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Regeneration

  1. Follow Company Standards for DI Plant.
  2. Practice safety procedures including eye and foot protection. Chemical use protection and safe lifting procedures.
  3. Regeneration. Working with weak base, mixed bed, cation, carbox, Personal Exchange tanks, iron filters, Wis. cartridges, and bacteria sampling.
  4. Prepare daily logs, computer data entry and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
  5. Follow all QSR procedures as they related to DI regeneration.
  6. Use reports to track and monitor equipment operations.
  7. Tag PE, DI, Carbox, and Carbon for proper shelving and identification.

Plant Maintenance

  1. May assist with daily shipping and receiving including, UPS, Fed EX, water and salt deliveries, bulk chemical deliveries, and acid and caustic delivery. Will unload and load deliveries using fork truck. Maybe be asked by office team for assistance using the fork truck.
  2. Keep DI plant and shop clean, stocked and well organized.
  3. DI Plant Maintenance including; RO, DI Regeneration, Plant Neutralizers, Funnels.
  4. Assist customers with salt and water pickups.
  5. Prepare new tanks and repair existing tanks as needed.
  6. Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  7. Clear doors, sidewalks of snow and ice.

Experience desired:

  • Production experience helpful.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Forklift experience helpful.
  • Ability to lift 30 to 80 pounds and move up to 550 pounds, assisted.
  • Computer skills helpful.
  • Math skills necessary.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
