Job description

The Personnel Consulting Group is working with one of the premier civil & environmental engineering firms in the Baton Rouge area to identify a Senior Water Resources Engineer with deep expertise in municipal water infrastructure.

For nearly 70 years, this firm has served as the gold standard for municipal water engineering across Louisiana. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing municipal engineering solutions that not only meet today's standards but also anticipate tomorrowโ€™s challenges. Your contributions will enhance the reliability and efficiency of water systems that serve communities, ensuring environmental sustainability for generations to come.

Performance Objectives
  • Develop comprehensive design plans for potable water supply and distribution systems that enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Lead evaluation and optimization of existing wastewater collection and treatment facilities to improve operational performance.
  • Conduct hydrological analyses and apply findings to mitigate flood risks, enhancing community resilience to adverse weather events.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining robust communication with clients.
  • Implement advanced water treatment technologies to address evolving regulatory and environmental quality standards.
  • Draft and present detailed engineering reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Initiate and oversee cost-effective solutions for energy optimization across varied municipal engineering projects.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, with a strong focus on water resources.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more relevant states or ability to obtain within a year.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a proven track record in water systems design and management.
  • Proficient in hydrological modeling software and advanced computational analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for client presentations and collaborative teamwork.
