Job Title: Water Reclamation and Collections Operator
Status: Full Time - Non-Exempt Hourly
Pay Range: $21.22 to $24.40, DOQ
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with rotating on-call shifts, overtime, and availability for emergency call outs

Hyrum City is accepting resumes for a Water Reclamation and Collections Operator at its Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). Performs a variety of entry level, trainee duties related to the operation and maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer collection infrastructure, water reclamation facility and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Experience maintaining and fixing equipment.
  2. Ability to read and comprehend operation and maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures, written policies etc.
  3. Capable of communicating effectively and professionally.
  4. Basic Pipefitting and plumbing skills.
  5. Ability to operate industrial machinery such as forklift, backhoe, loaders, etc.
  6. Ability to read and comprehend operation and maintenance manuals, standard operating procedures, written policies etc.
  7. Capable of communicating effectively and professionally.
  8. Good basic math and computer skills.
  9. Must be able to obtain Utah Wastewater Treatment 1 Certification with one year of hire.
  10. Ability to work and get along with others.
  11. Required to be on-call after work hours, including weekends and holidays for a minimum of one week per month.
  12. Must live within 15 Miles of the Hyrum City Office.

Required Education and Experience:
  1. Graduation from high school or equivalent

AND
  1. Sufficient experience to demonstrate an aptitude and ability to perform essential functions
