Mission Linen Supply has immediate opportunities for our Maintenance Technician Training Program in state-of-the-art operating plants in California and Arizona. 

The Maintenance Technician Trainee base salary is $25 - $38 an hour.

The starting salary is based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. 

RELOCATION REQUIRED: All candidates must be willing to relocate during or at the completion of their training within the first 3 years of the career to qualify for the program.

Qualifications

This newly-developed program is designed to place high-potential Maintenance Technician on a track for career opportunities in engineering and production management at Mission Linen Supply. This is a fast-track, nine-month program in which you are trained by Mission's top Chief and Regional Technicians to lead the maintenance activities of your own industrial laundry facility. In less than one year, you will learn what most of our technicians learn in five. After successful completion of the program, you have the opportunity to move into a Technician position at one of our 25 facilities, and ultimately, grow into the Production Manager role and beyond if desired. This is not typically an entry-level position- we want experienced technicians who are ready to learn our industry machinery, understand our customer-base, and contribute to a successful production team.

Experience gained during this program provides a strong foundation for understanding our business and assuming a leadership role in our Company. We will pair you closely with experienced maintenance engineers and plant teams to learn all aspects of an industrial laundry facility.

Specific areas include:

  • Electrical Training - PLC's-schematics, Control Panels

  • Electrical Engineering Courses

  • Boiler Training /Testing, Chemicals, and Welding

  • Energy Conservation and Waste Water Training

  • Hydraulics, CAD Drawing, Fabrications, and Pneumatics

  • Industrial Laundry Equipment Specifics -Ironers, Folders, Press Equipment, Washers/Extractors, Tumblers, and Towel Folders

  • Safety Training- Fork Lift and Lock Out/Tag Out

All along the way you'll have the support of senior management, complete progress reports from the learning and development department, and participate in company-sponsored development workshops. Upon successful completion, you'll be qualified for promotion to a Technician position at a Mission facility. You'll be part of a career track which includes opportunities for growth in key plant positions throughout the Company.

Qualified candidates will have the education and experience that demonstrate intelligence, commitment, and a willingness to learn - all necessary to succeed at Mission. Industry experience is not required, but we look for dynamic individuals with a high degree of electrical/mechanical aptitude, and a strong potential for career growth.

Qualifications include:

  • Associates degree or certification in a related industrial field

  • Experience in both industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance/repair

  • Military experience is welcomed

  • The ability to relocate after completion of the program is important for career growth
