Job description

Job Title: Water Wastewater EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with expertise in municipal water design or treatment, including culinary or sewer water treatment. The candidate will lead a team of 3 Engineers in Training (EITs) on various municipal water-related projects. Responsibilities include designing projects for cities to provide potable water, manage wastewater and sewage disposal, and prevent flood-related damage. The engineer will also prepare environmental documentation for water resources, ensure regulatory program compliance, manage and analyze data, and conduct field work. Collaboration with city and state officials on diverse projects is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 3 EITs in municipal water-related projects.
  • Design projects for the provision of potable water and wastewater disposal.
  • Prepare environmental documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory programs.
  • Conduct data management and analysis, as well as field work.
  • Collaborate with city and state officials on various projects.
Essential Skills
  • 4+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a focus on water treatment.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling and pipeline design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience in designing domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in advanced facilities with sequencing batch reactors, membranes, lift stations, headworks, surge overflow basins, ultraviolet disinfection systems, aerobic digesters, sludge lagoons, or control buildings.
  • Experience with water modeling software.
Work Environment

This position requires working in-office five days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm, with overtime compensated at 1.5x the hourly rate. The role is located in one of the following cities: Richfield, Nephi, Springville, or Midvale. Team leaders will manage teams of 5-12 engineers. The Springville location requires extensive leadership experience, as there is currently only one other leader in that office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
