Job Description

Immediate opening for an experienced Human Resources Manager (aka Human Resource Specialist) to work with us to develop a superior workforce with a daily focus on talent acquisition and retention.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities and systems for both new-hire on-boarding and orientation and exits of current employees.
  • Create and manage culture-driven initiatives, events and communications, with focus on continuous improvement in employee satisfaction and our retention rates.
  • Direct talent acquisition programs and marketing to proactively discover and hire the best candidates possible.
  • Manage and enhance employees' benefit programs on both a macro and daily-activity basis.
  • Listen to, act upon, and productively resolve employees' questions and problems while balancing compliance and service.
  • Be fully knowledgeable and stay current on California labor laws, codes and practices.
  • Maintain and periodically audit employee digital and paper files. Create and edit all forms, systems, and paperwork necessary for compliance and management of employees.
  • Manage and improve upon Company's Intern programs.
  • Assist with employees' workspaces being moved/changed as needed.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Flexible and self starter, able to multi-task while also being highly detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be professional and polished in appearance and speech in order to communicate with Vendors, Agencies and colleagues.

Experience and Education:

  • At least five years of direct, hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Work experience with a construction, contractor, or engineering firm a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Current PHR certification a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products (Outlook, Excel and Word; Project and Power Point a plus).
