Job description

WATCHMAKER
Northern Westchester County, NY

The Bowerman Group is partnering with a growing luxury watch service and technology company to recruit experienced Watchmakers for a new in-house workshop in Northern Westchester County, New York.

This position will be responsible for the complete service, repair, testing, and quality assurance of luxury timepieces. The role is primarily focused on mechanical watchmaking and requires the ability to work across a wide range of watches and ages.

The Watchmaker will join the company as it expands an internal watchmaking operation, that had previously relied on outsourced service providers. The workshop is being built to support a growing technical team and will operate alongside the company's technology platform for managing watch service and repair.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform complete mechanical watch service and repair according to established technical standards, procedures, and tolerances.
  • Diagnose functional, aesthetic, and performance-related issues; execute regulated adjustments and perform final timing.
  • Conduct final quality-control checks, including inspection of components, gaskets, assemblies, and final casing.
  • Conduct, document, and validate required testing, including water resistance, rate performance, and functional checks.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, professional manner.
  • Use the company's digital service platform to track watches and services in progress.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Formal watchmaking training, CW21 certification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong mechanical watchmaking background with experience servicing and repairing a broad range of luxury timepieces.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to successfully complete required bench and technical evaluations.
  • Ability to diagnose, service, regulate, test, and quality-check watches with precision and consistency.
  • Comfortable working within defined technical procedures, documentation systems, and quality standards.
  • Experience working across multiple watch brands, models, and ages is strongly preferred.

COMPANY INFORMATION
