About the role

The Wastewater Technician I is an entry level position responsibleforsafely performingthe following fundamental tasks: waste stream sampling, off-loading tanker trucks, waste stream QA/QC, bench testing, and waste stream treat code assignments. The WWT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding ofliquidsmanagement. Specifically, via hose connection/removal, pump function / operation, andvalvesmanagement along with bench testing, and waste stream treat code assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic chemical analysis such as pH, flash point, FOG, solids, and ammonia.

  • Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power toolsin accordance withcompany policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

  • Sampling tanker trucks and containers.

  • Connecting the hose andunloadingtanker trucks.

  • Use basic oil line and wastewater treatment line operations.

  • Direct andassistwith the operation of the sludge transfer and dewatering systems.

  • Submit all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.

Requirements:

  • < 1 year of experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

  • Wastewater Technician Certification preferred.

  • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift/carry over 50 pounds

  • Ability to pass respirator fit test

  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

  • Experience in NetSuite

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 22.79 - 30.38 USD per hour
