Chemical Warehouse Waste Technician
Position Summary
The Chemical Warehouse Waste Technician is responsible for the safe handling, storage, shipment, and receipt of bulk chemicals and hazardous waste materials within a warehouse environment. This role ensures compliance with environmental, safety, and transportation regulations while maintaining accurate inventory control through Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). The technician supports daily warehouse operations, chemical waste management programs, and logistics activities related to receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.
This position is for Day Shift - Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Chemical and Waste Management
  • Receive, inspect, label, store, and manage bulk chemicals and hazardous waste materials.
  • Perform waste accumulation, segregation, packaging, and container management in compliance with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and company requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections of chemical storage and waste accumulation areas.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, recyclable, and universal waste streams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, manifests, waste profiles, and disposal records.
  • Coordinate waste shipments with approved transportation and disposal vendors.
  • Respond to chemical spills or releases according to established emergency procedures.

Warehouse Operations
  • Load and unload bulk chemical shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, shipping documents, and receiving records.
  • Prepare outbound shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow Good Warehousing Practices and site-specific safety procedures.

Oracle EBS and WMS Functions
  • Create and process shipping and receiving transactions within Oracle EBS and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Generate shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, manifests, and receiving records.
  • Process inventory transfers, adjustments, and material movements.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Maintain real-time inventory transactions to ensure data integrity.
  • Support reporting requirements related to inventory, waste generation, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and environmental teams to ensure timely and accurate material flow.

Compliance and Safety
  • Adhere to OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and company environmental health and safety policies.
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and compliance inspections.
  • Complete required hazardous waste, chemical handling, and transportation training.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and inventory discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in chemical warehousing, hazardous waste management, manufacturing, or logistics operations.
  • Experience using Oracle EBS, Oracle WMS, or similar enterprise warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and waste management practices.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving documentation and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications
  • RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Training.
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, environmental services, or industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle ERP, or other inventory management systems.
  • Experience handling bulk liquid chemicals and tanker shipments.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.94 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
