Job description

Job Title: Loader Operator - Manufacturing - Suffolk, VA
Department: Asphalt Plants
Reports to: Plant Manager / Yard Foreman
Major Role and Purpose:
  • Operates front-end loader, excavates and loads materials to and from stockpiles.

Description of Duties:
  • Loads material from stockpiles to appropriate bins for asphalt production.
  • Loads material into Dump Trucks.
  • Uses various hand tools.
  • Basic mechanical skills to assist with plant maintenance.
  • Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
  • Yard maintenance.
  • Travel to and from the different plants.
  • Monitors the activity within the site.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Education:
  • High School Diploma Preferred.

Work Experience:
  • 3-5 Years operating a front-end loader / various heavy equipment.
